Knotting Hills Farm is ideally located about 45 min North of Charlotte and 45 min West of Winston-Salem near the I77 and I40 interchange.
Originally a working cattle and horse farm, the poplar bark wrapped barn was completely transformed into a beautiful climate-controlled venue complete with a stunning upstairs bridal suite, sprawling deck, two covered private patios, and separate groom’s room.
The reception hall seats up to 150 guests including the wedding party and doubles as versatile ceremony space for those unexpected rainy days. The interior board and batten walls are wrapped in rough cut - wide plank pine siding, and wood tongue & groove ceilings hover over polished concrete floors. Multiple glass chandeliers throw a warm yet festive tone and encapsulate a romantic, elevated rustic ambiance. Flanking, commercial grade sliding glass doors provide plenty of natural light and bring an indoor-outdoor experience lending to the comforts of a climate-controlled space without sacrificing the beauty of a gorgeous natural North Carolina backdrop.
The covered veranda off the back adds one of two outdoor ceremony locations with a beautiful, wooded scenery doubling as a great cocktail hour mingling space and dance floor under the lights to groove the night away with your closest friends and family. The pond ceremony location has a 450 sq ft dock and hillside seating overlooking the pond and beautiful rolling tree studded hills.

Beer and Wine is allowed. We do not allow hard alcohol.
The bridal party or host must purchase a 1-day Special Event Alcohol Permit from the State of North Carolina for $50. This permit must be obtained 30 days prior to your event. Alcohol cannot be served at your event without this permit. (We will provide you with the permit application.)
We require that our in-house server be used. All beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks must be provided the morning of the wedding. The serving fee is $500.00 and must be paid when the application is submitted.
During the event all alcohol must stay behind the bar and be served by the bartender only.
GUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING THEIR OWN ALCOHOL.
We exercise discretion and the right to refuse service to any guest(s) that have been deemed to have too much to drink. Proper identification is required, no exceptions.

An in-house security and parking attendant is required for all wedding events. The fee is $350.
What do I get? Transportation back and forth from the parking area to the venue for all your guests.
Security during the duration of the event as well as a helping hand should it be needed.
